Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management (SHE/Q)

Our commitment to safety, health, environmental and quality management (SHE/Q) is supported by Jex Engineering's senior management. Employees at all levels of the organisation are involved in maintaining the high standards that we set ourselves. SHE/Q management forms an integral part of our business and we aim to minimise our client’s risk by working safely and efficiently through good management, effective leadership, continuous training and performance monitoring.

Safety Management

Jex Engineering has proven systems and procedures aimed at reducing the risk to our Clients businesses, for example the management of CDM (Construction, Design & Management) or the Supply of Machinery (to meet CE marking requirements). All our systems and procedures are executed in a controlled manner and are regularly reviewed and updated.

Jex Engineering has gained external recognition by receiving the RoSPA Gold Award on three occasions and seven British Safety Council Awards. In addition, Jex Engineering has been successfully audited and accredited by the National Britannia Safecontractor Scheme and also the Humber Bank Contractor Competency Forum.

Our commitment to health and safety is further demonstrated by our involvement in the following:

Environmental Management

Through good manufacturing practice, we seek to minimise the impact of our operations to the environment. We work in conjunction with our Clients to ensure that our activities do not impact on their business or the environment and, therefore, also assist them in meeting their environmental objectives and accreditation.

Quality Management

Our quality management system has been certified to ISO 9001:2000 and our scope of accreditation includes: engineering, design, manufacture, construction and installation, and supply of engineering services. The organisation has developed its systems and procedures to ensure that the products and services supplied by Jex Engineering exceed Client expectations where possible.

Training

Jex Engineering believes that training is essential to the Company’s continued success. All our craftsmen have completed time-served apprenticeships and our project managers / engineers are trained in the core SHE/Q areas of the Company. All training provided is aimed at enhancing our capabilities and enabling us to provide effective solutions for our Clients.
