Fabrication Services

Jex Engineering offers a full range of steelwork fabrication, including structural and architectural steelwork. Although the main materials used are stainless and mild steel, our expertise also extends to aluminium.

A variety of fabrications can be produced, such as walkways, gantries, steel structures and platforms, with stainless steel polishing provided, where required.

Structural steelwork of modular construction, for controlled installation, is manufactured and can be trial erected within Jex Engineering’s fabrication workshop areas. The client is thus able to simulate a factory environment where potential problems can be identified prior to installation. This reduces the risk of disrupting production and allows for quicker, more efficient installation on site.

Pipework Fabrication Services

Jex Engineering has a vast range of experience in workshop fabrication and site installation of pipework systems, gained through project work, maintenance programmes and contract fixed price quotations.

We can produce and install service and process pipework in virtually any materials, including:

• Stainless Steel

• Alloys
• Inconel
• Hastalloy
• All Types of Plastic
• Glassware
• A Variety of Exotic Materials

The fabrication and installation of different types of plastic, such as PVC/ABS solvent cement systems, polypropylene and MDPE welded systems, is also available, with projects recently completed in these areas.

In addition, our expertise covers the full spectrum of basic service pipework – dairy, refrigeration, steam, water, process and jacketed – industrial services for gas pipework and high purity pipework and systems for the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries using the latest technology in orbital welding.

Whether working in a food factory or chemical site, our approach combines flexibility with quality service, delivered by fully trained personnel. Where required, welding can be conducted to Class 1 BSEN 287 standards by certified coded welders.

Sheet Metalwork Fabrication Services

Jex Engineering's sheet metalwork and fabrication department has achieved an excellent reputation for quality within a wide variety of manufacturing and processing industries since it was opened in 1979.

All sheet metal work manufactured in our workshops or on site is available in a full range of materials and can be produced to the precise specifications of a given client. We also have a wealth of experience in manufacturing stainless steel items where a high grade finish is required to enhance the production facility.

These range from basic chutes and guards, ducting, conveyors, hoppers and vessels produced to BS 5500 standard – all of which can be jacketed or non-jacketed, clad or unclad – to customised process equipment.

Each of the above items can be built using designs supplied by the client or created by our in-house design team.
